Hello Friends of Watermelon Pie!
Welcome to our first edition of our newsletter. We plan to provide occasional updates to our supportive community about our start up journey.
First things first - What is Watermelon Pie?
Watermelon Pie is a delicious dessert created by cofounder Kachina Miller and shared with her dear friend, Vanessa Greco. The shareable dessert inspired Watermelon Pie LLC, a Maine-based technology company founded by Kachina Miller, Vanessa Greco and Rakesh Kumar. We are building a social recipe sharing platform that helps home cooks collect, share and discuss their favorite recipes with family, friends and their local food community, making cooking more communal, more collaborative and more fun.

Where are we on our journey?
Over the past year, the Watermelon Pie Team has been busy with customer research, designing and building our initial technology. As of May 6th, our product is now in beta and being tested with home cooks. Based on their feedback, we are already planning many exciting improvements for the months ahead.
How is the beta going?
It’s going really well - home cooks love to see what real home cooks are cooking! We have collected lots of encouraging feedback and lots of ideas on how to keep improving. We started with 25 beta testers on day one and we are now up to nearly 200 and users are making frequent visits to see what’s new.
Are we accepting more beta testers?
Yes! You are welcome to can join our beta by signing up www.watermelonpie.com and we will gladly invite you. It’s especially fun for home cooks who are curious about the product development journey and want to share their feedback and ideas to make it an even better experience.
